Bradley Schreiber, a former senior adviser at the Department of Homeland Security, has launched a consulting and government relations firm.

Homeland Security Solutions LLC, at 2 Wisconsin Circle in Chevy Chase, will help private and public sector entities develop and grow their Homeland Security or national security businesses or activities.

“As the [Bush] administration was coming to a close, I was trying to think about which direction I would go in,” said Schreiber, who has been in D.C. since 1993 and has worked on Capitol Hill for more than a decade. “I was trying to figure out how to leverage my Homeland Security experience.”

He wants to help simplify and break down barriers of the department so that private and public companies can succeed in the “extremely wide” market, which encompasses such entities as airline companies working with the Transportation Security Administration, port security and cyber security.

“It’s an incredibly important area that has not been touched on and consolidated at this point. There are many opportunities that still exist to make the system better, both internally and externally,” he said.

He is working with a senior advisory committee and in the long term would like to add a staff of full-time workers.

The company will also provide planning, positioning, grassroots campaigns and media affairs services focused on homeland and national security issues.
